Lucy Maud Montgomery, the writer of Anne of Green Gables, was born in 1874 in Canada.

‘빨강 머리 앤(Anne of Green Gables)’의 작가 루시 모드 몽고메리는 1874년 캐나다에서 태어났다.

After her mom’s death, Montgomery was sent to her grandparents’ home while she was still a baby.

어머니의 사망 후 몽고메리는 아직 아기였을 때 그녀의 할머니 할아버지의 집에 보내졌다.

Her childhood there gave her many ideas for Anne of Green Gables.

Her imagination grew as she played outdoors and listened to her grandfather’s stories.

Later, she worked as a teacher but dreamed of becoming a writer.

When she created the character of Anne in 1905, however, publishers weren’t interested.
