Christmas is an important time for sharing and celebration.

So when Christmas is coming, Americans are always busy with buying presents.

However, for some years, a weak economy made thishard.

During that time, people had trouble buying gifts, and some even had to borrow money from the bank!

So, The Carlisle Trust Company of Pennsylvania started offering Christmas clubs in 1909.
