Malala Yousafzai is known as an international symbol of peace and children’s rights.

말랄라 유사프자이는 평화와 아동 인권의 세계적인 상징으로 알려져 있다.

When Malala was eleven years old, the Taliban took over her town in Pakistan.

말랄라가 11살이었을 때, 탈레반이 파키스탄에 있는 그녀의 마을을 장악했다.

Girls were forbidden from getting an education.

Unable to attend school, Malala kept a blog instead.

She wrote that everyone has the right to an education.

The Taliban wanted to stop her, so they sent someone to kill her.

The man got on a truck that was taking Malala to school and shot her in the head.
