The Olympics is the world’s biggest sports festival.

올림픽은 전세계에서 가장 큰 스포츠 행사에요.

The Olympic rings are the symbol of the games.

올림픽 링은 경기의 상징이에요.

There are five rings in all.

총 다섯 개의 링이 있어요.

Each ring has a different color.

각 링마다 색이 달라요.

From left to right, they are blue, yellow, black, green, and red.

왼쪽에서 오른쪽으로, 파란색, 노란색, 검정색, 녹색, 빨간색이에요.

The rings overlap and connect.

링은 겹쳐지고 이어져 있어요.

They stand for five continents.

그것들은 다섯 개의 대륙을 나타내요.

These are Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Americas.

유럽, 아시아, 아프리카, 호주, 아메리카에요.

But wait!

하지만 잠깐만요!

Aren’t there seven continents?

모두 일곱 개의 대륙이 있지 않나요?

In the Olympics, North and South America count as one.

올림픽에서는 북아메리카와 남아메리카를 하나로 봐요.

Also, Antarctica has no athletes.

그리고 남극에는 선수가 없어요.

It is too cold to play sports there!

거기서는 너무 추워서 스포츠를 할 수가 없어요!

Today I went on a field trip to the aquarium.

I learned interesting facts about some animals.

Penguins live in groups.

Each group has hundreds of penguins.

The penguins stand close together.

This helps them stay warm.

When a fish swims alone, it is easier to catch.

물고기가 혼자 헤엄칠 때는 잡기가 쉬워요.

But when many fish swim together, they look bigger.

하지만 많은 물고기가 함께 헤엄치면 더 커 보여요.

This tricks sharks and other large fish.

이렇게 하면 상어나 다른 큰 물고기들을 속일 수 있어요.

Animals are amazing!

동물들은 정말 대단해요!

I like that they help each other.
