Have you heard of active houses and passive houses?

Although they may sound very different, they are actually quite similar.

Both types of houses aim to be energy-efficient, reduce their environmental impact, and provide comfortable indoor conditions.

However, they take different approaches to achieve these goals.

Active houses are designed to produce the energy that they use.

액티브 하우스는 집이 사용하는 에너지를 생산하도록 설계되어 있다.

To do this, they use renewable energy systems such as solar panels or wind turbines.

Active house designs also allow more daylight and fresh air to enter.

They have highly insulated walls and roofs, along with airtight designs.

These features enable them to keep their temperature consistent.

이런 특징들은 그 집들이 온도를 일관되게 유지하는 것을 가능하게 한다.

During the summer, these houses effectively block the heat from outside, so they stay cool inside.

여름 동안, 이 집들은 외부로부터의 열기를 효과적으로 차단하여 내부를 시원하게 유지한다.

In winter, they can minimize heat loss by trapping the heat indoors.

겨울에는 열기를 실내에 가둠으로써 열 손실을 최소화할 수 있다.

Because of this, they don't need much heating.

이 때문에 패시브 하우스는 많은 난방이 필요하지 않다.
