There are many interesting jobs around the world.

전 세계에는 많은 흥미로운 직업이 있죠.

Today, we will meet with a guest from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

오늘 우리는 네덜란드 Amsterdam에서 오신 손님을 만나 보겠습니다.

Marco: Hi! My name is Marco.

Marco: 안녕하세요! 제 이름은 Marco입니다.

Every day, I take a special boat and go fishing through the canals.

매일, 저는 특별한 배를 타고 운하를 다니며 낚시를 하러 갑니다.

But I don’t catch fish.

그런데 저는 고기를 잡는 게 아니에요.

I’m a bike fisherman!

저는 자전거 낚시꾼입니다!

That sounds interesting.

흥미롭게 들리네요.

What exactly do you do?

정확히 무슨 일을 하시나요?

Marco: My job is to take bicycles out of the water.

Marco: 제 일은 물속에서 자전거를 꺼내는 거에요.

It isn’t easy, because I can’t see bicycles under the water.

물속에 있는 자전거들을 볼 수 없기 때문에 그것은 쉽지 않습니다.

So I have to search the canals carefully.

그래서 신중하게 운하를 수색해야 합니다.

If I find a bike, I pull it out with the giant claw on the boat.

자전거를 찾으면, 배에 있는 거대한 갈고리 모양의 기계로 그것을 꺼내요.

I find about 20,000 bikes a year.

저는 일 년에 약 20,000개의 자전거를 찾아냅니다.

Later, I take them to a recycling center.

Wow! Why are there so many bikes in the canals?

Marco: There are a lot of bikes and hundreds of canals in Amsterdam.

Marco: Amsterdam에는 많은 자전거와 수백 개의 운하가 있어요.

Some bicycles fall into the water because of the wind.

어떤 자전거는 바람 때문에 운하에 빠집니다.

People also secretly throw bikes into the canals at night.

또 사람들이 밤에 몰래 운하에 자전거를 버립니다.
