Most female frogs lay their eggs and then leave them.

However, you should think again because strawberry poison-dart frogs are known for taking care of their young.

Strawberry poison-dart frogs live in the rainforests of Central America.

딸기독화살개구리는 중앙아메리카의 열대우림에 산다.

Unlike other frogs that lay many eggs in the water, these frogs lay three to five eggs on leaves.

물속에 많은 알을 낳는 다른 개구리들과 다르게, 이 개구리들은 나뭇잎에 3~5개의 알을 낳는다.

After about ten days, the eggs hatch into tadpoles.

약 10일 후에, 알들은 올챙이들로 부화한다.

Then the mother carries each tadpole to a separate pool of water.

She does this because the tadpoles may eat each other if they are in the same place.

After that, the mother frog has to go back and forth between her babies almost every day to feed them.

About six weeks later, the tadpoles finally turn into frogs.

약 6주 후에, 그 올챙이들은 마침내 개구리들로 변한다.
