Companies sometimes cut down large trees to make a profit.

They don’t care that these trees are hundreds of years old.

But some people do care.

Julia Hill is one of these people.

When she was 23, she met some people in California.

They were trying to protect some ancient trees from a company.

She joined them and climbed up a 1,500-year-old redwood tree.

Hill named the tree “Luna.”

Eventually, the company yielded and decided to leave the redwood trees alone.

Today, Hill continues to fight for the environment in many different ways.
