Why do people dance?

사람들은 왜 춤을 추는 걸까요?

They dance to express feelings, give happiness to others, or enjoy themselves.

사람들은 감정을 표현하고, 다른 사람들에게 행복감을 주거나 스스로 즐기기 위해 춤을 춥니다.

Let's take a look at different kinds of dance around the world.

세계의 여러 가지 춤을 살펴봅시다.

India: Kathakali

인도: 카타칼리

Kathakali tells a story.

Kathakali에는 이야기가 있습니다.

The dancers tell stories through their body movements.

춤꾼들은 몸동작을 통해 이야기합니다.

These stories are usually about a fight between good and evil.

이러한 이야기들은 대개 선과 악의 싸움에 관한 것입니다.

Dancers who are playing good characters paint their faces green.

선한 역할을 맡은 춤꾼들은 자신의 얼굴을 초록색으로 칠합니다.

Those who are playing evil characters wear black make-up.
