In class, we had to make a traditional Chinese mask for a Chinese opera.

수업시간에, 우리는 중국 연극을 위한 전통 중국 가면을 만들어야만 했다.

I made a white mask because white expresses the pure and innocent spirit of Korean people.

나는 흰색이 한국 사람들의 순수하고 순결한 정신을 표현하기 때문에 흰색 가면을 만들었다.

But for Chinese people, white can be considered a negative color.

하지만 중국 사람들에게, 흰색은 부정적인 색으로 여겨질 수 있다.

For them, white is associated with death.

A classmate of mine used red, which symbolizes good fortune and joy in China.
