Test Your Brain with Optical Illusions

착시 현상으로 당신의 두뇌를 시험해 보세요

How the visual system processes shapes, colors, sizes, etc. has been researched for decades.

수십 년 동안 어떻게 시각 시스템이 모양, 색, 크기 등을 처리하는지가 연구 되어 왔다.

One way to understand more about this system is to look at how we can trick it, that is, to look at how the brain reacts to optical illusions.

이 시스템에 대해 더 많이 이해할 수 있는 한 방법은 우리가 그것을 어떻게 속일 수 있는지를 보는, 즉 두뇌가 착시 현상에 어떻게 반응하는지를 보는 것이다.

Let's give it a try with the following optical illusions.

다음의 착시 현상들을 한번 시도해 보자.

There is a trick since these are illusions, but don't try to be smarter than your brain:

Just enjoy being tricked!

Q1. Can you put the fish in the fishbowl?

질문 1. 당신은 이 물고기를 어항에 넣을 수 있는가?

Stare at the yellow stripe in the middle of the fish for about 10-20 seconds.

물고기의 가운데에 있는 노란 줄무늬를 약 10-20초 동안 바라보아라.

Then, move your gaze to the fishbowl.

그러고 나서 당신의 시선을 어항으로 옮겨가라.

Q2. Have a look at the squares.

질문 2. 사각형들을 보아라.

Are the squares inside the blue and yellow squares all the same color?

파란색과 노란색 사각형 안에 있는 사각형들은 모두 같은 색인가?

Q3. Stare at the circles for a few seconds.

질문 3. 몇 초 동안 원들을 응시해라.

Are the circles moving or not moving?

If they are moving, are they moving fast or slow?

Q4. Take a look at the elephant carefully.
