Now there were some terrible seeds on the planet that was the home of the little prince; and these were the seeds of the baobab.
그런데 어린 왕자의 고향인 행성에는 무서운 씨앗들이 있었다. 그리고 이것들은 바오밥 나무의 씨앗이었다.
The soil of that planet was infested with them.
그 행성의 토양은 바오밥 나무 씨앗 투성이었다.
A baobab is something you will never, never be able to get rid of if you attend to it too late.
바오밥 나무는 너무 늦게 처리하면 영영 없애 버릴 수 없는 것이다.
It spreads over the entire planet.
그것은 행성 전체로 퍼져 나간다.
It bores clear through it with its roots.
그것은 뿌리로 행성에 확실히 구멍을 뚫는다.
And if the planet is too small, and the baobabs are too many, they split it into pieces....
그래서 행성이 너무 작은데 바오밥 나무가 너무 많으면 바오밥 나무들은 행성을 쪼개버린다....
"It is a question of discipline," the little prince said to me later on.
"그건 규율의 문제야." 훗날 어린 왕자가 내게 말했다.
"When you've finished your own toilet in the morning, then it is time to attend to the toilet of your planet, just so, with the greatest care.
"아침에 몸단장을 하고 나면 정성 들여 행성의 단장을 해 줄 시간이야.
You must see to it that you pull up regularly all the baobabs, at the very first moment when they can be distinguished from the rose-bushes which they resemble so closely in their earliest youth.
너는 바오밥이 새싹 때는 서로 굉장히 닮은 장미 덤불과 구별이 되는 바로 첫 순간에 모든 바오밥을 규칙적으로 뽑는 것을 확실히 해야만 해.
It is very tedious work," the little prince added, "but very easy."
