Bukchon Hanok Village Introduces Tourist Regulations

여행객 규제를 도입한 북촌한옥마을

On July 1st, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that Bukchon Hanok Village would be designated a “specially controlled area.”

The crowds of tourists have resulted in continuous complaints from those who live in the neighborhood.

Residents of the hanok village say that overtourism has disrupted their way of life.
