Roman numerals are numbers that look like letters from the alphabet.

로마 숫자는 알파벳 글자들처럼 생긴 숫자들이다.

In this system, I is used for 1, V for five, X for 10, L for 50, C for 100, D for 500, and M for 1,000.

이 체계에서는 I이 1 대신 쓰이고, V는 5 대신, X는 10 대신, L은 50 대신, C는 100 대신, D는 500 대신, 그리고 M은 1,000 대신 쓰인다.

They were used throughout Europe until Arabic numerals were created.

While Roman numerals still appear today on things like clocks and calendars, they aren’t used for math now.
