Have you heard of the Dead Sea?

It is a unique body of water in the Middle East.

The Dead Sea is nearly 34 percent salt.

This makes it one of the saltiest bodies of water on Earth.

There are several reasons why this lake is so salty.

First, it receives very little rainfall every year.

The high amount of salt makes its waters denser than ocean or pool water.

So anyone can float in the Dead Sea, even without a life jacket!
