The Roman Arena

로마의 원형 경기장

Arles is an ancient city dating back to Roman times.

아를은 로마 시대 이래 계속 존재하고 있는 고대 도시다.

Many Roman buildings remain, including an arena that was built in 90 A.D.

서기 90년에 지어진 원형 경기장을 포함하여 많은 로마 시대 건물들이 남아 있다.

The arena used to seat over 20,000 people who would go to watch various entertaining events.

이 경기장은 한때 다양한 오락 행사를 보러 온 2만 명 이상의 사람들을 수용하곤 했다.

Vincent sometimes went to the bullfights that were held in the arena every Sunday.

빈센트는 가끔 일요일마다 경기장에서 열리는 투우 경기를 보러 가기도 했다.

He particularly liked to watch the colorful crowds.

그는 특히 다채로운 군중을 보는 것을 좋아했다.
