One day, a fourteen-year-old girl named Josie visited the shop with her mother, Chrissie.

어느 날, 조시라는 열네 살 소녀가 어머니 크리시와 함께 가게를 방문했다.

Josie chatted with Klara joyfully.

조시는 클라라와 즐겁게 이야기를 나눴다.

Josie immediately took a liking to Klara and asked whether Klara wanted to be her friend.

조시는 즉시 클라라를 마음에 들어 했고 클라라에게 그녀의 친구가 되고 싶은지 물었다.

(Josie) I really want you to come to my home.

(조시) 네가 우리 집에 꼭 와 줬으면 좋겠어.

I think you’ll like my room, and we’ll see the beautiful sunset from the windows there.

내 방을 좋아할 것 같고, 우리는 거기 창문으로 아름다운 일몰을 볼 수 있을 거야.

We can do all the great things together all the time while I’m growing up.

우리는 내가 자라는 동안 모든 멋진 일들을 항상 함께 할 수 있어.

You want to come, right?

너도 오고 싶지?

(Klara) nodding hopefully

(클라라) 희망에 차 고개를 끄덕인다

(Josie) That’s so good, but I want to be honest with you.

(조시) 정말 잘됐지만 나는 너에게 솔직하고 싶어.

I know how bad you’ll feel after people promise you perfect things and they turn out not to be so.

사람들이 너에게 완벽한 것을 약속하고 그것이 그렇지 않은 것으로 밝혀지면 기분이 얼마나 나쁠지 알아.

Some days I’m not so healthy or happy.

나는 어떤 날은 그렇게 건강하지도 행복하지도 않아.

I do not know why. Do you still want to come, Klara?

왜 그런지 모르겠어. 그래도 여전히 오고 싶니, 클라라?

(Klara) If there’s anything difficult or scary, we will face it together.

(클라라) 힘들거나 무서운 일이 있으면 우리는 함께 이겨낼 거야.
