Today, we have a special online class with students from Brazil.

오늘은 브라질에서 온 학생들과 함께하는 특별한 온라인 수업이 있습니다.

Let’s learn about Brazil from our Brazilian friends.

(Seoyeon) Is Brazil a large country?

(서연) 브라질은 큰 나라인가요?

(Rafael) Yes, it is the largest country in South America.

(Rafael) 네, 브라질은 남아메리카에서 가장 큰 나라입니다.

(Isabela) We also have the biggest rainforest in the world.

(Isabela) 우리나라에는 세계에서 가장 큰 열대 우림도 있어요.

It’s the Amazon Rainforest.

아마존 열대 우림이에요.

(Doyun) How’s the weather in Brazil?

(도윤) 브라질 날씨는 어떤가요?

(Rafael) It is different across the country.

(Rafael) 나라 전체에 걸쳐 다릅니다.

We’re in Rio de Janeiro. It’s near the sea.

저희는 리우데자네이루에 있어요. 바다 근처죠.

So, we have warmer winters and cooler summers than Brasilia, the capital city.

그래서 수도인 브라질리아보다 겨울이 따뜻하고 여름이 서늘해요.

(Isabela) How’s the weather in Korea?

(Isabela) 한국 날씨는 어떤가요?

(Doyun) It’s cold now. This year is colder than last year.

(도윤) 지금은 춥습니다. 올해는 지난해보다 더 추워요.

(Seoyeon) What’s famous in Rio de Janeiro?

(서연) 리우데자네이루에서 어떤 것이 유명한가요?

(Isabela) The Rio Carnival is the most famous carnival in the world.

(Isabela) 리우 카니발은 세계에서 가장 유명한 카니발이에요.

There are samba parades, street events, and colorful clothes.

삼바 퍼레이드, 거리 행사, 그리고 다채로운 의상들이 있어요.

(Seoyeon) Do you go there every year?

(서연) 매년 거기 가나요?

(Isabela) Yes! I enjoy music, dancing, and delicious food there.

(Isabela) 네! 거기서 음악, 춤, 그리고 맛있는 음식을 즐기죠.

(Rafael) I also enjoy K-culture festivals.

(Rafael) 저는 K-문화 축제도 즐겨요.

(Doyun) Is there a K-culture festival in Brazil?

(도윤) 브라질에 K-문화 축제가 있나요?

(Rafael) Yes. K-culture is popular here.

(Rafael) 네. 여기서도 K-문화가 인기 있어요.

I watched Korean movies and saw taekwondo at the festival.

전 축제에서 한국 영화와 태권도를 보았답니다.

(Isabela) I also saw my favorite K-pop stars there.

(Isabela) 저도 제가 좋아하는 K-팝 연예인들을 그곳에서 봤어요.

I love K-pop music. Ta bom!

저는 K-팝 음악을 정말 좋아해요. Ta bom!
