We Look Funny but Taste Great!

우리는 웃기게 생겼지만, 맛이 좋아요!

This is a special market for funny-looking fruits and vegetables.

이곳은 웃기게 생긴 과일과 채소를 위한 특별한 시장입니다.

They greet each other and start to talk.

그들은 서로에게 인사하며 이야기를 시작합니다.

(Apple) What a nice day!

(사과) 정말 좋은 날이야!

I'm here because I have many spots on my skin.

나는 내 껍질에 점이 많아서 이곳에 왔어.

People think that I'm tasteless.

사람들은 내가 맛없다고 생각해.

They are wrong! My spots are not harmful.

그들은 틀렸어! 내 점은 해롭지 않아.

I taste great.

나는 맛이 훌륭해.

(Kiwi) I'm round but very small.

(키위) 나는 둥글지만 아주 작아.

Farmers don't want to sell me because of my size.

농부들은 내 크기 때문에 나를 팔고 싶지 않아 해.

Who cares about size? I'm sweet and delicious.

크기가 무슨 상관이야? 나는 달콤하고 맛있는걸.

(Carrot) Do you see that I have three legs?

(당근) 내 다리가 세 개인 것이 보이니?

I look funny because my roots are like a fork.

내 뿌리가 포크처럼 생겼기 때문에 나는 우스꽝스러워 보여.

I just tried to avoid stones in the ground and grew three legs.

나는 그저 땅속에서 돌을 피하려 해서 다리가 세 개로 자랐어.

I'm fresh and make healthy juice.

나는 신선하고, 건강에 좋은 주스를 만들어.

(Apple) I'm glad to see you all!

(사과) 모두 만나서 반가워!

I want to meet more fruits and vegetables like us.

나는 우리와 같은 더 많은 과일과 채소들을 만나고 싶어.

Do you know any?

너 아는 거 있니?

(Kiwi) How about eggplants?

(키위) 가지들은 어때?

Some eggplants are bent too much.

어떤 가지들은 너무 많이 휘어있어.

Supermarkets don't sell them because people like straight eggplants.

사람들은 곧은 가지를 좋아하기 때문에 슈퍼마켓은 그들을 팔지 않아.

(Carrot) There are funny-looking potatoes, too.

(당근) 우스꽝스럽게 생긴 감자들도 있어.

Their shapes are unusual, and their sizes are all different.

그들의 모양은 특이하고, 크기도 모두 달라.

People believe that they are useless.

사람들은 그들이 쓸모없다고 여겨.

(Kiwi) I know, but I heard that funny-looking potatoes make fantastic chips.

(키위) 알아, 하지만 우스꽝스럽게 생긴 감자들이 훌륭한 감자칩을 만든다고 들었어.

(Carrot) Is it true? How wonderful!

(당근) 그거 사실이야? 정말 멋진데!

I hope that people learn more about us.

나는 사람들이 우리에 대해 더 많이 알기를 바라.

(Apple) I hope so, too.

(사과) 나도 그래.

Look, friends! People are coming. Let's welcome them.

봐, 친구들! 사람들이 오고 있어. 그들을 환영하자.
