The Cool Giraffe

멋진 기린

(Giraffe) Being a giraffe isn't cool. / I stick out everywhere.

(Giraffe) 기린이 되는 것은 멋지지 않다. / 나는 어디에서나 튀어 보인다.

I want to be cool / like other animals.

나는 멋지고 싶다 / 다른 동물들처럼.

Monkeys are cool.

원숭이들은 멋지다.

They can hang / from trees / with their tails, / but I can't.

그들은 매달릴 수 있다 / 나무에 / 그들의 꼬리로, / 하지만 나는 못한다.

My neck is too long.

내 목이 너무 길다.

Cheetahs are cool. / They run fast.

치타들은 멋지다. / 그들은 빨리 달린다.

I want to run like them, / but I can't / with my long neck.

나는 그들처럼 달리고 싶다, / 하지만 나는 못한다 / 내 긴 목 때문에.

Flamingos can stand on one leg. / They look cool.

플라밍고들은 한 다리로 서 있을 수 있다. / 그들은 멋져 보인다.

I tried to stand like them, / but I fell / with my long neck.

나는 그들처럼 서 있으려고 했다, / 하지만 나는 넘어졌다 / 내 긴 목 때문에.

(Giraffe) Why can't I be cool / like other animals?

(기린) 왜 나는 멋질 수 없을까 / 다른 동물들처럼?

I hate my neck.

(Gorilla) Do not copy other animals.

(고릴라) 다른 동물들을 따라 하지 마.

You are a giraffe. / Just be yourself, / and you'll feel fine.

(Giraffe) But I am so different / from them.

Just look at my neck!

내 목 좀 봐!

(Gorilla) To be different / is to be special.

(고릴라) 다른 것은 / 특별한 것이다.

Look at your long neck / with pride. / Believe in yourself.

너의 긴 목을 봐 / 자부심을 가지고. / 너 자신을 믿어.

(Giraffe) I will try. / Thanks for your advice.

(기린) 노력해 볼게. / 조언 고마워.

(Gorilla) You are welcome. / We have a big party tonight. / Join us!

(고릴라) 천만에. / 우리는 오늘 밤 큰 파티가 있어. / 함께 해!

(Giraffe) This party is so much fun!

(기린) 이 파티는 정말 재미있어!

Animals sing and dance / late into the night.

동물들은 노래하고 춤춘다 / 밤늦게까지.

(Monkey) It's getting dark. / I can't see well.

(원숭이) 어두워지고 있어. / 나는 잘 볼 수 없어.

(Cheetah) Can anyone reach / those branches up there?

(치타) 누가 닿을 수 있나요 / 저기 위에 있는 가지들에?

They are blocking the moonlight.

그것들이 달빛을 가리고 있어.

Giraffe stands up / and clears away the branches / with his neck.

기린이 일어선다 / 그리고 가지들을 치운다 / 그의 목으로.

(Animals) Now we have moonlight! / Let's dance again!

(동물들) 이제 우리는 달빛이 있어! / 다시 춤추자!

Thanks, Giraffe. / Your long neck is amazing! / You are cool!

고마워, 기린. / 네 긴 목은 놀라워! / 넌 멋져!

(Giraffe) Thanks. / My long neck is cool. / I'm proud of myself!
