I'm at a Hangeul festival now.

나는 지금 한글 축제에 있습니다.

People are enjoying fun activities here.

사람들이 여기서 재미있는 활동을 즐기고 있습니다.

They look happy and excited.

그들은 행복하고 흥분해 보입니다.

I'm going to interview / three Hangeul lovers.

나는 세 명의 인터뷰할 것입니다 / 한글 애호가들을.

(Reporter) Here is my first question.

Why do you like Hangeul?

왜 한글을 좋아하십니까?

(Pueng) I like Hangeul / because it is easy to learn.

I learned the 24 letters of Hangeul, / and I am able to read any Korean word now.

저는 한글의 24자를 배웠고, / 이제 어떤 한국어 단어도 읽을 수 있습니다.

(Anna) The shapes of Hangeul look unique and beautiful.

한글의 모양이 독특하고 아름답게 보입니다.

I like the Korean word for Switzerland, / “스위스[seu-wi-seu].“

저는 스위스를 뜻하는 한국어 단어를 좋아합니다, / “스위스[스위스].“

It looks / like a soldier between two mountains.

그것은 보입니다 / 두 산 사이에 있는 군인처럼.

It looks great!

멋져 보입니다!

(William) I like Hangeul / because its history is amazing.

저는 한글을 좋아합니다 / 그 역사가 놀랍기 때문에.

A long time ago, / most Koreans couldn't read or write.

오래 전에, / 대부분의 한국인들은 읽거나 쓸 수 없었습니다.

King Sejong felt bad about this, / so he created a new alphabet for his people.

세종대왕은 이에 대해 안타깝게 여겼고, / 그래서 그의 백성들을 위해 새로운 알파벳을 만들었습니다.

(Reporter) You all really love Hangeul!

How did you start / learning it?

(Pueng) I'm a big fan / of K-pop songs.

Because I wanted to sing Korean songs, / I started learning Hangeul.

한국 노래를 부르고 싶어서 / 한글을 배우기 시작했어요

Now I can sing many K-pop songs!

이제 저는 많은 K-pop 노래를 부를 수 있습니다!

(Anna) I was interested / in using Hangeul in my designs.

So I studied / the shapes of Hangeul.

I can make unique patterns for clothes / with Hangeul.

Some letters look / like the shape of the mouth and tongue / for their sounds.
