Many modern bath products, such as soaps and body washes, contain small pieces of plastic known as “microbeads.”

These microbeads are usually less than two millimeters wide.

Unfortunately, these small beads have caused big problems.

As you wash, microbeads go down the bathroom drain.

Eventually, they end up in lakes, rivers, and oceans.
