A Nice Fall Day

멋진 가을 날

My family is hiking on a fall day.

우리 가족은 가을 날 등산을 하고 있어요.

We walk up a mountain.

우리는 산을 걸어 올라가요.

I say, “Look at the red and gold leaves!”

나는 “빨갛고 황금색의 낙엽들을 보세요!”라고 말해요.

I throw them into the air.

나는 그것들을 공중으로 던져요.

They fall down beautifully.

“Let’s take a break,” Dad says.

We sit down by a stream.

It shines under the blue sky.

Ouch! Something falls on my head.

It is an acorn!

We all laugh.

On the Apple Farm

사과 농장에서

I visit my grandparents’ apple farm.

나는 조부모님의 사과 농장을 방문해요.

“I see many red apples in the trees!” I say.

나는 “나무에 있는 많은 빨간 사과들이 보여요!”라고 말해요.

Grandpa picks apples.

할아버지께서는 사과를 따세요.

I say, “I can’t reach the apples!”

나는 “사과에 손이 닿을 수 없어요!”라고 말해요.

Grandpa smiles and lifts me up.

할아버지께서 미소 지으시며 나를 올려 주세요.

Yes! I can pick apples too!

좋았어! 나도 사과를 딸 수 있어요!

Later we eat some apples.

나중에 우리는 몇 개의 사과를 먹어요.

Crunch! They are very sweet and juicy!

아삭! 그것들은 매우 달콤하고 과즙도 많아요!

Grandma bakes a delicious apple pie.

할머니께서는 맛있는 사과 파이를 구우세요.

Apples, you are so yummy!

Where Do Animals Live?

동물들은 어디에 사나요?

Animals have different homes.

동물들은 서로 다른 집을 가지고 있어요.

Eagles live in nests.

독수리는 둥지에 살아요.

Their nests are often in tall trees.

그들의 둥지는 주로 높은 나무에 있어요.

Up there, their babies are safe.

거기 위에서, 그들의 새끼는 안전해요.

Bats make homes in caves.

박쥐는 동굴에 집을 만들어요.

They hate light.

그들은 빛을 싫어해요.

So they stay in dark caves.

Spiders live in sticky webs.

The sticky webs help spiders catch insects.

Animal homes are not the same.

But every animal has a perfect home!

A Yard Sale

마당 세일

I am at Kelly’s yard sale.

나는 Kelly의 마당 세일((개인 주택의 마당에서 사용하던 물건을 파는 것)에 있어요.

She is selling some old but good things.

그녀는 오래됐지만, 상태가 좋은 것들 몇 가지를 팔고 있어요.

There is a cool bike.

멋진 자전거 한 대가 있어요.

But I can’t ride a two-wheel bike yet.

그러나 나는 아직 두발 자전거를 타지 못해요.

There is a lovely, cheap jacket too.

예쁘고(멋지고), 값이 저렴한 재킷도 있네요.

But it is too tight for me.

그러나 나에게 너무 꽉 껴요.

I see an orange basketball.

주황색 농구 공이 보이네요.

“It’s just one dollar,” Kelly says.

“겨우 1달러야” 라고 Kelly가 말해요.

Bounce! Bounce! I love it!

Finally I can buy something nice!
