My parents work in an orange orchard.

우리 부모님은 오렌지 과수원에서 일하세요.

Today was my first day of orange picking.

오늘은 내가 오렌지를 처음 따는 날이었어요.

We started to work early in the morning.

우리는 아침 일찍 일을 하기 시작했어요.

First, my dad climbed a ladder and picked the oranges up high.

먼저, 아빠가 사다리를 올라가서 높은 곳에 있는 오렌지들을 땄어요.

He just dropped them to the ground.

그는 그것들을 그냥 땅에 떨어뜨렸어요.

Then I put them in buckets.

My mom put them into large sacks.

We worked until the late afternoon.

I didn’t know that orange picking was so hard.

I was tired but happy to help my parents.

Justin squeezes some lemons and says, “Pass me the sugar, please.”

Tom passes a glass shaker to Justin.

Inside it is white powder.

그 안에는 하얀 가루가 들어 있어요.

Justin puts the white powder in the water.

Then he adds the lemon juice to the water.

Tom puts some ice in his glass.

“Let’s try the lemonade,” Tom says.

"레모네이드를 마셔 보자."라고 Tom이 말해요.

He drinks it and frowns.

“What’s wrong?” asks Justin.

"무슨 일이야?"라고 Justin이 물어요.

“It doesn’t taste sweet,” Tom says.

"달콤한 맛이 안 나."라고 Tom이 말해요.

“That was salt, not sugar.”

"그건 설탕이 아니라 소금이었어."

It’s a hot summer day.

무척 더운 여름 날이에요.

Sam plays with his friends outside.

Sam은 밖에서 그의 친구들과 놀아요.

Suddenly, it gets dark.

갑자기 어두워져요.

There are large dark clouds in the sky.

하늘에 크고 어두운 구름이 있어요.

It starts to rain.

비가 내리기 시작해요.

There is thunder too.

천둥도 쳐요.

Sam is surprised by the thunder.

Sam은 천둥 소리에 깜짝 놀랐어요.

He screams and runs into his house.

그는 소리를 지르고 집 안으로 달려가요.

He looks out the window.

그는 창문 밖을 바라봐요.

The wind blows hard.

바람이 세게 불어요.

It makes the clouds spin.

바람이 구름을 빙글빙글 돌려요.

The wind is really fast.

바람이 정말 빨라요.

Trees shake.

나무들이 흔들려요.

It rains harder and harder.

비가 점점 더 세게 내려요.

What is happening?

무슨 일이 일어나고 있을까요?

It is a big storm!

큰 폭풍이 불고 있어요!

Mindy likes to play with friends during her lunch break.

Mindy는 점심시간에 친구들과 노는 것을 좋아해요.

Today Mindy and her friends play tag at the playground.

오늘 Mindy와 친구들은 운동장에서 술래잡기를 해요.

Mindy is “it.”

Mindy가 술래예요.

She closes her eyes and counts to twenty.

Mindy opens her eyes and sees one friend.

Mindy는 눈을 뜨고 친구 한 명을 봐요.

She runs very fast.

But she falls down and hurts her knee.

하지만 그녀는 넘어져서 무릎을 다쳐요.

The school nurse gives Mindy a Band-Aid.

학교 간호사가 Mindy에게 반창고를 줘요.

Mindy feels pain in her knee.

Mindy는 그녀의 무릎에 고통을 느껴요.

But she wants to play tag again.

하지만 그녀는 다시 술래잡기를 하고 싶어해요.

Playing tag is very fun!

술래잡기는 정말 재미있어요!
