The Olympic rings are the symbol of the games.

There are five rings in all.

총 다섯 개의 링이 있어요.

Each ring has a different color.

각 링마다 색이 달라요.

From left to right, they are blue, yellow, black, green, and red.

왼쪽에서 오른쪽으로, 파란색, 노란색, 검정색, 녹색, 빨간색이에요.

The rings overlap and connect.

링은 겹쳐지고 이어져 있어요.

They stand for five continents.

그것들은 다섯 개의 대륙을 나타내요.

These are Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Americas.

유럽, 아시아, 아프리카, 호주, 아메리카에요.

But wait!

Aren’t there seven continents?

In the Olympics, North and South America count as one.

올림픽에서는 북아메리카와 남아메리카를 하나로 봐요.

Also, Antarctica has no athletes.
