Long ago, the sky was close to the ground.

오래 전에, 하늘은 땅에 가까웠습니다.

People didn’t grow food.

사람들은 식량을 기르지 않았습니다.

They just ate the sky.

그들은 그저 하늘을 먹었습니다.

They cut out big pieces of the sky but only ate a little.

They threw away the rest.

그들은 나머지를 버렸습니다.

The sky got angry and said, “Do not waste me. I will move far away.”

One greedy woman didn’t listen.

한 욕심 많은 여자는 말을 듣지 않았습니다.

She threw a lot away.

The next day, people were surprised and asked, “Where is the sky?”

The sky answered, “I moved far away.

Now you have to work hard.

이제 너희들은 열심히 일 해야 해.

Plant seeds and hunt animals.”

씨앗을 심고 동물들도 사냥 하도록 해.”

Now people cannot touch the sky anymore.

이제 사람들은 더 이상 하늘을 만질 수 없습니다.
