Is sea water always blue?
바닷물은 항상 파란색일까요?
No. It has many different colors!

Sometimes, sea water is bright blue.
때때로, 바닷물은 밝은 파란색이에요.
This water is shallow.
이 물은 얕아요.
White sand is under it.
하얀 모래가 그 밑에 있어요.
It looks like a swimming pool!
그것은 마치 수영장 같아요!
Sometimes, sea water is brown.
때때로, 바닷물은 갈색이에요.
The waves move the sand.
파도가 모래를 이동시켜요.
Then the water gets dirty.
그러면 물이 더러워져요.
Sometimes, sea water is red.
때때로, 바닷물은 빨간색이에요.
Little red plants grow in it.
작고 빨간 식물들이 그 안에서 자라요.
These plants can make poison.
이 식물들은 독을 만들 수도 있어요.
Don’t swim here!

A giant lives on an island.
한 거인이 어떤 섬에 살고 있었어요.
People sail to his island.
사람들은 배를 타고 거인의 섬에 들어갔어요.
He gives them salt.
거인은 사람들에게 소금을 나눠주었어요.
One day, there is a storm.
어느 날, 폭풍우가 몰아쳤어요.
The boats can’t sail.
배를 항해할 수가 없었어요.
“Giant!” the people say,
“거인아!” 사람들이 말했어요.
“Stretch out your leg!”
“네 발을 쭉 뻗어줘!”
The giant stretches out his leg.
거인은 그의 발을 쭉 뻗었어요.
The people walk on it.
사람들은 거기로 걸어갔어요.
Then ants bite the giant’s foot!
그런데 개미가 거인의 발을 물었어요!
“Ouch!” He moves his leg.
“아야!” 거인이 그의 다리를 움직였어요.
The salt falls into the sea.
소금이 바다로 떨어졌어요.
That is why the sea is salty.
이게 바다가 짠 이유에요.
