Many ancient people wondered how the universe began.

The ancient Aztecs believed that it was created after a war between the gods and a huge sea monster.

According to Aztec religion, there was first a god called Ometechutli.

아즈텍 종교에 따르면, Ometechutli라는 최초의 신이 있었다.

Ometechutli was both male and female and had four children.

These children were the main gods of the Aztecs and represented the four directions of the compass.

They were Xipe Totec (North), Huizilopochtli (South), Quetzalcoatl (East), and Tezcatlipoca (West).

The Aztecs believed these gods created the universe.
